The New England Patriots might be getting two very important players back in the lineup for Sunday’s Week 18 regular season finale against the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium.

There’s a real possibility that both defensive lineman Milton Williams and left tackle Will Campbell could be activated off injured reserve this week.

“We’ll see how they respond from today’s work,” head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters Friday. “Tried to get them a full week of work in, but I think it looks good. Both of them were able to work the whole week and we’ll see where we’re at tomorrow.”

Williams hasn’t played since the Patriots’ Week 11 win over the New York Jets due to an ankle injury. He was the team’s major free agent addition last offseason and had been playing at a high level prior to the injury. The Patriots’ run defense has really struggled without him.

Campbell suffered an MCL sprain in the Patriots’ Week 12 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The rookie from LSU was playing very well as the team’s starting left tackle before the injury.

Vrabel also told reporters that linebackers Robert Spillane and Harold Landry III, defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga and left guard Jared Wilson will be out Sunday, while tight end Jack Westover will be questionable.

If the Patriots beat the Dolphins on Sunday, they will be guaranteed at least the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs.
