The New England Patriots stayed busy on Wednesday, reportedly agreeing to deals with four players on the third day of NFL free agency.
All-Pro safety Kevin Byard was the most notable addition of the bunch. Byard signed a one-year, $9 million deal that will reunite him with head coach Mike Vrabel, who coached him on the Tennessee Titans for almost all of his six years with the team.
The Pats also signed linebacker K.J. Britt, tight end Julian Hill, and safety Mike Brown. They have made nine additions in total since the start of free agency, while losing edge rusher K’Lavon Chaisson (Washington Commanders), safety Jaylinn Hawkins (Baltimore Ravens), and cornerback Alex Austin (Miami Dolphins).
Mike Vrabel’s club still has more moves to make as the team could use more depth at several positions, including tight end, offensive line, and edge.
