The Boston Celtics fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a Thursday night thriller, 104-102.
It was tied at 102 when Thunder big man Chet Holmgren got to the free-throw line with 0.8 seconds left. He made both of his shots, and the Celtics were unable to respond.
Boston still impressed without Jayson Tatum (Achilles repair reconditioning), Derrick White (knee), and Nikola Vucevic (finger). Jaylen Brown led the way with 34 points and seven assists, going toe-to-toe with fellow MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (35 points, nine assists) and playing every minute in the second half.
