The Boston Celtics and New York Knicks are set to face off in a marquee Thursday night matchup at Madison Square Garden.
It will mark Jayson Tatum’s first game at MSG since he suffered his Achilles injury there last May. Tatum has looked more like himself over the last couple of weeks, but returning to MSG will be the biggest mental hurdle yet for the C’s superstar.
If the Celtics win, they will lock up the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. They are 1-2 against the Knicks this season, with a 111-89 loss in their last meeting on Feb. 8.
Boston officially ruled Jaylen Brown out for Thursday’s game due to left Achilles tendinitis.
