The Las Vegas Raiders suffered an injury scare during their Week 1 victory over the New England Patriots.

Brock Bowers tallied 103 receiving yards before exiting the 20-13 win early. The star tight end squashed any long-term concern, telling NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero that he’s fine.

Bowers got hit around his knee at the end of a 38-yard play late in the third quarter. He was spotted limping afterward and went into the team’s blue medical tent for further evaluation.

Raiders head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Monday that Bowers is day-to-day. The 22-year-old has an extra week to recover before a “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Bowers took the league by storm last year, setting single-season records for the most receptions (112) and receiving yards (1,194) by a rookie tight end. The first-round pick began his second season as the only tight end to record triple-digit yards in Week 1.

The 33rd Team noted that Bowers notched his seventh career game with over 90 receiving yards, more than his six with less than 50 yards. Bowers was a massive part of Las Vegas quarterback Geno Smith wrecking New England’s defense for 362 passing yards in his Raiders debut.

Bowers can showcase his skills on ESPN if he’s cleared to play in Week 2. The Patriots won’t have to deal with that matchup nightmare again, but they instead must combat a speedy Miami Dolphins offense this Sunday.
