NEW ORLEANS — Two Patriots defensive stars will dress Sunday afternoon despite questionable tags.

Cornerback Christian Gonzalez (hamstring) and defensive tackle Milton William III (illness) are both active for the Week 6 contest against the Saints.

Gonzalez was limited in practice Thursday and Friday. Head coach Mike Vrabel indicated he would be a game-time decision. Williams was just added to the injury report 40 minutes before inactives.

Wide receiver Efton Chism III is also set to make his NFL debut, active for the first time.

Here’s the full list of Patriots inactives:

QB Tommy DeVito (emergency third QB)
    OLB Anfernee Jennings (ankle)
    DE Keion White (elbow)
    S Jaylinn Hawkins (hamstring)
    OL Caedan Wallace
    DT Eric Gregory

    Some notes:

    • Chism will likely play behind wide receivers Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, DeMario Douglas and Kyle Williams.

    • The Patriots elevated outside linebacker Truman Jones from the practice squad to provide additional depth with Jennings and White out. Expect Harold Landry III and K’Lavon Chaisson to start. Rookie Elijah Ponder will provide additional depth.

    • Hawkins is a big loss as a defensive starter. The Patriots have Kyle Dugger, Dell Pettus and Brenden Schooler to play next to rookie Craig Woodson.

    • Wallace and Gregory have yet to play this season. The Patriots will have Vederian Lowe, Marcus Bryant and Ben Brown to serve as depth behind starters LT Will Campbell, LG Jared Wilson, C Garrett Bradbury, RG Mike Onwenu and RT Morgan Moses. The Patriots are at full strength at defensive tackle with Williams, Christian Barmore, Khyiris Tonga, Joshua Farmer and Cory Durden.

    • The Patriots also elevated running back Terrell Jennings from the practice squad to back up Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson.
