The New England Patriots will almost certainly be looking to upgrade their wide receiver room this spring. If they pursue a trade, Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown will be among the top options to consider. Brown is coming off a tumultuous season in Philly. The 28-year-old grew frustrated with his usage in the Eagles’ offense and called the situation a “s–tshow” during a live stream. In the team’s playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Brown had a pair of critical drops and got into a spat with head coach Nick Sirianni. A three-time Pro Bowler, Brown’s production dipped for…

FORT MYERS, Fla. — No player’s journey through professional baseball is alike, but you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who has walked a path quite like Noah Song. Originally drafted by the Red Sox in 2019, Song spent three seasons away from baseball fulfilling his military obligations as a U.S. Naval Academy graduate. Immediately upon his return he found himself being shotgunned to the big leagues by a new organization, only to then run into a series of injury setbacks that cost him most of the next two years. Now back with the Red Sox, Song has finally settled…

Gibson was set to enter the last year of the free-agent contract he signed in 2024. His release creates more than $2 million in cap space for the Patriots, who are now scheduled to have more than $38 million entering the 2026 league year.…
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — When Connelly Early’s first season as a big leaguer came to an end last October, the message he received from the Red Sox was simple: Get bigger, get stronger. Five months later Early reported to camp with 15 pounds of added muscle, and Monday he put those gains to good use. Early was sharp in his first start of spring training, throwing two scoreless innings in Boston’s eventual 2-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. The 23-year-old left-hander threw 27 pitches, 18 for strikes, and allowed one walk and one strikeout with no hits or runs.…
A small blizzard of thoughts on a Boston Celtics team that has won nine of its last 10 — culminating with a 111-89 thumping of the rival Lakers on Sunday — while we procrastinate on shoveling out from this latest winter storm: Brown’s MVP campaign kicks into high gear The rest of the league might finally be taking note of Jaylen Brown’s impact on Boston’s success this season. So, what would the pathway to Brown really injecting himself into that conversation look like? Sunday night offered a roadmap. Brown didn’t have his most efficient scoring night, but he did fuel…
