The Boston Celtics get their first look at 19-year-old phenom Cooper Flagg when they visit the struggling Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.
Flagg, a Maine native selected with the first pick in last year’s NBA Draft, has been a bright spot lately for a Mavs team that has lost four straight games. The Duke product dropped a career-high 49 points vs. the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday, followed by a 34-point performance against the Houston Rockets on Saturday.
The Celtics are seeking their third consecutive win. They will be without their top bench scorer Anfernee Simons as they traded the 26-year-old guard to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for big man Nikola Vucevic on Tuesday.
