The Boston Celtics dropped Monday night’s game to the Utah Jazz in crushing fashion, losing by two points at home in the final seconds.

Jaylen Brown still isn’t over it, especially after feeling like he was wronged by the referees during crunch time.

With the Celtics up by one and approximately 50 seconds left, Brown dribbled towards the basket from the top of the arc. Jazz defender Keyonte George slipped and fell in front of Brown, who tripped over George and lost the ball, resulting in a game-changing turnover.

Surprisingly, the refs did not call a tripping foul on George, allowing play to continue. Utah stole the loose ball and promptly scored, which turned out to be the difference in its narrow 105-103 victory at TD Garden.

After complaining to the officials during the game and going on an NSFW rant during his postgame interview, Brown continued to voice his displeasure with the call via Twitch on Tuesday.

“We all know…that certain players get a certain whistle, or certain call, or emphasized in a certain way,” Brown said. “This is an integral issue for me…Maybe it’s for marketing reasons, maybe it’s for other reasons. I don’t know…Your job is to make the call regardless of the player, regardless of his size, regardless of his stature, regardless of how many Instagram followers he got or regardless of who he signed with.”

Despite being a star in his own right, Brown rarely gets the same treatment or level of respect as other stars around the league. Even on his own team, he’s usually regarded as Jayson Tatum’s sidekick.

With Tatum sidelined by an Achilles injury, Brown is proving he’s capable of leading Boston and putting the team on his back in Tatum’s absence. Through eight games, the 29-year-old is averaging a career-high 26.8 points per game while posting the best shooting splits of his career.

Brown will try to help the Celtics snap their two-game losing streak on Wednesday against the Washington Wizards at home.
