Many believe the New England Patriots made progress with their 23-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. However, Fox Sports analyst Chris Broussard did not find the win particularly impressive.

“It pains me to say this,” Broussard said Monday on “First Things First” when asked what the Patriots proved on Sunday. “Nothing. Not a darn thing. Maybe they proved that nobody’s going 17-0 this year. The Bills were going to lose to somebody.”

Buffalo was bound to lose eventually, especially since no team has gone undefeated since the 1972 Miami Dolphins. However, it was a significant deal that the Patriots were the ones to deliver the Bills their first loss of the season.

The Bills have secured five consecutive AFC East titles and have defeated the Patriots six times since 2021.

Buffalo has dominated New England for the past five years, much like how the Patriots used to run circles around the Bills for two decades with quarterback Tom Brady at the helm.

It was a significant step in the right direction that New England was able to go into Orchard Park on “Sunday Night Football” and pull off a victory over one of the best teams in the NFL.
