The Sox have already secured the series win against the Guardians (phew!), but they’ve faced adversity along the way: Garrett Crochet had an uncharacteristic collapse during yesterday’s top of the sixth, and our beloved Roman Anthony exited the game with a back injury that has since landed him on the IL. Anthony’s out of the lineup for the foreseeable future and it’s a bullpen day. Every single win matters right now with just how tight the AL wildcard looks—and so does every single loss. Will the offense stay hot against Guardians pitching? Can the bullpen get the job done? Or will Anthony’s absence—and the lack of a starting pitcher—doom the game? The offense fully pulled their weight yesterday, so let’s hope they can do it again.

    First pitch: 6:45 p.m. EST
