Lucas Giolito has made seven starts for the Red Sox this season, and for the most part we’ve seen two different versions of him. In three of the starts, he’s allowed six or more earned runs, but in another three, he’s allowed one earned run or less.

Given the current state of the bullpen, the team desperately needs good Giolito to show up tonight. Otherwise, it could be a very ugly evening at the ballpark.

But you know what’s not ugly? Having Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer and Kristian Campbell all in the lineup together again. (Now let’s see if they keep Mayer and Anthony in there until the end of the game.) Unlike last night, Trevor Story will be batting sixth in-between them.

Also of note, Roman Anthony will be wearing No. 19 tonight and hopefully forever as a member of the Red Sox. He was given No. 48 in yesterday’s chaos, but he was able to switch to the one he really wanted today.

Roman Anthony @RedSox will wear #19 since today, not #48. I confirmed from him.

It’s for the best as there were 19 different iterations of the Roman Empire during its lifespan. You can see them here in map form from cartographer Howard Wiseman.

    Here’s the lineup for tonight:

    First Pitch: 7:10p.m (ET).

    TV: NESN

    Radio: WEEI
