Garrett Crochet takes mound for Red Sox vs. Reds on Opening Day – NBC Boston

The 2026 Boston Red Sox’ quest for a World Series title begins Thursday in Cincinnati.

Last season’s American League Cy Young runner-up Garrett Crochet will take the mound for Boston in its Opening Day matchup against the Reds. Fellow left-hander Andrew Abbott start for Cincinnati.
