BOSTON — The Celtics and Lakers have played many classic games in their historic rivalry. Friday’s matchup at TD Garden was not one of them.
The Celtics built a huge lead early and never looked back, cruising to a 126-105 victory to extend their win streak to a season-high four games.
The Lakers were without their two-best players — Luka Doncic and LeBron James — as well as Marcus Smart. The Celtics’ red-hot shooting was just too much for a shorthanded Lakers team to overcome.
