The Boston Bruins could soon be getting star defenseman Hampus Lindholm back in the lineup.

Lindholm has missed the Bruins’ last three games due to a lower-body injury. Ahead of Boston’s road game against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday, Bruins head coach Marco Sturm gave a positive update on Lindholm. The coach called Lindholm a true game-time decision on Saturday.

“It’s still going to be a game-time decision, but he definitely looks better today,” Sturm said to reporters on Saturday. “I would say yes, but we will decide right before (the game).”

Lindholm was on the second power-play unit during Saturday’s morning skate, which indicated he likely was going to be in the lineup.

The injury to Lindholm wasn’t considered serious, but he still missed three games and over a week of play. But Boston will get the star defenseman back in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Avalanche.

In Lindholm’s absence, Haverhill, Mass., native Jordan Harris has stepped up in his spot. Lindholm has been impressed with Harris’ play.

“He’s been unbelievable. Such a good player,” Lindholm said after Wednesday’s practice, via Bruins.com. “I think overall, we’ve been showing that Bruins hockey that we want to play. We just have to stick to it over 60 minutes every game, and we’re going to frustrate teams. It’s been fun.”

Lindholm skated in two games this season. He’s in the fourth year of his eight-year, $52 million deal with the Bruins.
