The iconic New England Patriots red throwback jerseys are back!
On Tuesday, the team announced that they will wear their Pat Patriot jerseys for two games this season, including one of their primetime matchups.
They will first take the field in the red at Gillette Stadium in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and then again in Week 13 against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.
When the Patriots decide to use the throwback uniforms, they typically go all out, with the Pat Patriot logo being painted at midfield too.

New England first brought these jerseys back in 2022 after a 10-year break, when the NFL lifted a rule that said teams have to wear the same helmets all year long.
Some fans were hoping the Patriots would elect to bring back the blue throwback uniforms too. And Drake Maye even hinted at that back in February.
“Here’s my burning question about the Patriots – I think you should wear those reds every game,” Chris Long said to Maye on his “Green Light” podcast during Super Bowl week in New Orleans.
“Those reds are sweet, aren’t they?” Maye responded. “They’re sweet. We were 0-2 in them, but I thought we played pretty good in them. But the reds are sweet.”

“The fans are wanting some blues, some awesome throwback blues,” he added. “Those would be sweet. The fans are wanting it, so I think they’d be pretty sick.”
But it seems for the 2025 season, fans will just have to deal with only the red throwbacks.
