FOXBORO — The Patriots have a decision to make on practice squad running back Terrell Jennings.

Jennings, who has filled in for injured Antonio Gibson as the Patriots’ third running back behind Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson over the last three weeks, is out of practice squad elevations.

The Patriots must either sign Jennings to the 53-man roster or start using another running back in his place. The team also has Jashaun Corbin on their practice squad.

“We all want Terrell here,” head coach Mike Vrabel said Monday. “So, however we have to handle that; I mean, the only other option is to bring him up. He’s been a good addition. He’s been prepared for his opportunity. Helped on special teams, had a tackle yesterday on kickoff. So those are all really good things. I think he’s a good teammate and so, yeah, I think that’s only probably procedural at the end of the week.”

The Patriots currently have a full 53-man roster and no obvious candidates to place on injured reserve. The team had QB Tommy DeVito, DT Eric Gregory, OL Caedan Wallace, S Kyle Dugger (knee), OLB Caleb Murphy, DE Keion White and WR Efton Chism on the inactive list Monday.

Gregory and Wallace have not been active yet this season. Murphy was just claimed off waivers from the Chargers last Monday.

Jennings has seven carries for 33 yards on the season. He’s made one tackle on special teams.

He entered the NFL last year as an undrafted free agent out of Florida A&M. Jennings and Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas were teammates at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Fla.
