The New England Patriots have officially signed fourth-round draft pick safety Craig Woodson to his rookie contract, the team announced on Friday.

This now leaves second-round running back TreVeyon Henderson as the only 2025 draft pick not to sign.

A 6-foot, 200-pound safety out of California, Woodson played in 46 games with 40 starts across his college career and was a contributor on special teams. This past season, he finished with 70 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, two INTs and seven PBUs across 13 games.

And he’s made a strong impression on one veteran safety on the Patriots roster.

“I like him — smart, savvy,” Jabrill Peppers told reporters in May. “He’s done a great job soaking up what the coaches want him to do, different techniques. College ball is a little different than in the league, especially in the Pac-12. So, you know, he’s definitely done a good job.”

NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry also heard good things following rookie minicamp.

The name that came back to me was Will Campbell,” Perry said on the “Next Pats Podcast.” “They liked what they saw, impressive physically and in terms of his leadership — everything they wanted in that period. But the other name was Craig Woodson. For Woodson to be mentioned was noteworthy.”

Right after he was drafted, he sent a clear message to Patriots fans, that proves he’s ready to go.

“I don’t think there’s anything I can’t do on the field,” Woodson said. “I’m ready to show that to Pats Nation.”

So with this contract issue now out of the way, it’s time to get started.
