Mike Vrabel’s former team signed away one of his personal favorite Patriots players on Monday.
The Titans poached outside linebacker Truman Jones off of the Patriots’ practice squad, according to his agent, Joe Linta.

The Patriots now have an open spot on their practice squad.
Jones was an offseason award winner for the Patriots. He was waived during roster cuts and was elevated for the Patriots’ Week 6 win over the Saints.
Vrabel spoke highly of the Harvard alum ahead of that game.
“I’m not supposed to have favorites, but I would say that Truman’s close to the list if I had one,” Vrabel said. “He’s an extremely hard worker. I would say that every time we have a show player of the week on the [defense] or special teams, I would say that he’s probably been one of those two, if not both, throughout the year. He’s done a nice job. He prepares as a starter each and every week. I just think he’s continuing to develop, and we would be comfortable if we had to play him.”
Jones also spent last season with the Patriots, registering two tackles. He entered the NFL in 2023 as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard with the Chiefs.
