The Boston Bruins got back in the win column on Saturday night with a 3-2 shootout victory over the Detroit Red Wings. It was a big win on the second night of a back-to-back for the B’s, especially when considering they were without superstar forward David Pastrnak.

Boston didn’t look particularly great on Friday night against the New York Rangers without Pastrnak, as they got throttled by a score of 6-2. The team managed to rally late against Detroit, though, to earn its 15th win of the season.

With another matchup against the Red Wings on the schedule for Tuesday night, all eyes are on Pastrnak to see if he can return from an undisclosed injury that has caused him to miss the team’s past two games. However, when the team took the ice for practice on Monday, Pastrnak was nowhere to be found.

“No Pastrnak at Bruins practice,” Conor Ryan of Boston.com shared in a post on X.

Head coach Marco Sturm said he didn’t think Pastrnak would be out for very long, but every game he misses is big for the Bruins. With 11 goals and 18 assists through his first 25 games, Pastrnak is perhaps the most important player on the team this season.

And yet, even with a slew of injuries beyond Pastrnak’s plaguing the team, the B’s continue to win at a high rate. They will look to make it two wins in two games against the Red Wings on Tuesday, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
