The Pittsburgh Pirates have been more open to spending this offseason than in years past; or they’re at least making it seem like it for advertisement/brand enhancement reasons. After submitting a ceremonial offer to Kyle Schwarber earlier this offseason, the Pirates might be in line for another slugger who’s been loosely linked to the Boston Red Sox: Eugenio Suárez. Suárez has been talked about by pundits as a Plan B or C for the Red Sox if they fail to land guys like Alex Bregman or Ketel Marte (via trade). For the Pirates, Suárez would provide some much-needed power and…

FOXBORO — The Patriots were low on linebackers when they took the field Wednesday for their first practice of the week. So, it makes sense that they made it a priority to bolster their depth at linebacker by signing Chad Muma off the Colts’ practice squad on Tuesday. Muma, a Jaguars third-round pick out of Wyoming in the 2022 NFL Draft, has played 55 games, starting seven, with the Jags and Colts during his four-year career. “He’s played in this league. Again, we get down to this time of the year where you’ve got to find some guys that have…

Cody Bellinger is perceived as the second-most valuable outfielder on the free agent market, and it’s a tad surprising he hasn’t been scooped up yet. Some people think that Bellinger’s agent, Scott Boras, is waiting for Kyle Tucker to get signed, so that he can use Tucker’s dollar figure as leverage or a guide in crafting his own negotiation tactics with teams interested in Bellinger. Bellinger had a really good year with the New York Yankees last season, and Yanks GM Brian Cashman has been saying all offseason long that he wants to bring Bellinger back. The Yankees reportedly even…

FOXBORO — In a game against his former team that obviously meant to him than most of the Patriots roster, it was surprising to see Stefon Diggs take on a reduced workload in Sunday’s loss to the Bills. Diggs played just 26 of 52 offensive snaps against his former team. He was asked Wednesday how he adjusts to fluctuating playing time from week to week. “(Expletive), I don’t know, for real. Just trying to get used to it,” Diggs said. “I mean, kind of was the same in the beginning of the year too. So, I just try to take…

When we think of the products that make our ski days better, we tend to assume they are the creation of hard-core world class ski champion/expert types lending their experience and smarts to the process of creating exactly what we need to make our sport even greater.
