The Red Sox just absolutely refuse to learn their lesson…

If you’re wondering exactly which lesson we’re talking about, go ahead and read that headline again and take a little trip to our “DUDS” section below:

Payton Tolle and Chris Sale: I’d be hard pressed to say they lived up to the hype, especially considering they combined to allow 16 base runners, but they only allowed four total runs and combined to strike out 15. It’s fun watching competent pitchers pitch.

We just didn’t get a whole lot of that when they left the game…

Chad Tracy: If you have a guy in the bullpen who allows exactly half of his inherited runners to score, you just have to go to him with the bases loaded in a tie ballgame.

Greg Weissert: If you’re up 0-2 in the count, you have to end up throwing four straight balls to walk in the go-ahead run before giving up a grand slam.

Danny Coulombe: Tracy and Weissert were forced into those situations because this guy, who very well could be off the roster by the end of the week, couldn’t throw strikes.

“I CALLED IT” MOMENT OF THE GAME

Weissert was never not going to allow those runners to score.

    I can’t imagine he’ll be around much longer…
