The preseason may only be the preseason, but Chris Forsberg doesn’t care.
“Damn, this team is fun!” Forsberg said after the C’s improved to 3-0 this preseason. “I know I’m overreacting to preseason, but you could put Neemi [Queta] out there and go double-big with Mitchell Robinson … . [Jayson] Tatum looks healthy and ready to go. Paul George, even on a night when he doesn’t shoot the ball well is out there impacting winning with the defense he plays, his ability to generate those steals, throw behind-the-back passes to get you out running. There are so many options for Joe [Mazzulla] to work with with this group.
“This team has an identity with the way that it plays, with how hard it plays, with its versatility, with its depth, and I really think they are set up to be successful throughout the regular season. I mean, now we just need some real games, because I’m ready to hit the fast-forward button. Let’s go. We need to get to Detroit.”
