Friday marked another entertaining padded practice for the New England Patriots.
Third-year quarterback Drake Maye put on a show for the fans in attendance, going 12-for-13 in full team drills while continuing to build chemistry with star wide receiver A.J. Brown. Brown’s day was highlighted by a deep catch over cornerback Christian Gonzalez.
Gonzo remained a full participant in practice despite his ongoing contract dispute. In Maye’s own words, he made it a point to “challenge” the star cornerback throughout the session.
