Josh Allen can notch another career milestone when his Buffalo Bills host the New England Patriots on Sunday night.

The Bills noted ahead of the Week 5 matchup that Allen is currently tied with former New England quarterback Cam Newton for the most games with at least one passing and rushing touchdown. The reigning MVP can claim the record for himself if he accomplishes the feat for the 46th time on “Sunday Night Football.”

Nobody else is particularly close; Aaron Rodgers and Steve Young are tied for third at 31 games with a passing and rushing score.

Allen’s 75 career rushing touchdowns (playoffs included) are two behind Newton for the NFL record by a quarterback. He’s already scored three of them in four games after tallying 32 over the last two seasons.

The way he’s started the season, Allen could become the league’s first back-to-back MVP winner since Rodgers in 2020 and 2021. The 29-year-old has completed 70.2 percent of his passes for 964 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception while tallying 159 rushing yards.

Allen could also become the first MVP to lead his team to a 5-0 start the following season since Rodgers in 2015. The Bills enter Week 5 as the AFC’s only undefeated team.

However, Allen won’t be the only dual-threat quarterback playing at Highmark Stadium. Drake Maye has paired two passing touchdowns with a rushing score in each of New England’s two victories.

Sunday’s AFC East contest between the Patriots and Bills starts at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
