    In nonleague girls basketball action, Grace Schroeder scored 15 points and Marin Mooney added 10 points as Nantucket edged Barnstable, 41-40.

    In a Commonwealth Athletic Conference matchup, Rowan Murphy recorded 23 points while Ava Mennella chipped in with 14 points to lead Greater Lowell past Lowell Catholic, 43-38. … Abby Broderick and Naya Annigeri each dropped 22 points as Medfield rolled over Medway 67-30 in Tri-Valley League play.

    Boys basketball

    Jack Casey had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Connor Smith led with 15 points as Melrose (11-8) took down Wakefield 52-45 in Middlesex League action. … Jabari Williams scored 17 points as Arlington (16-5) defeated Winchester 63-55.

    In the Mayflower Athletic Conference, Ben Stapleton led with 21 points while Jag Garces added 20 as West Bridgewater topped Holbrook 82-76.

    In a Commonwealth Athletic Conference contest, Liam Powers’ 16 point performance powered Mystic Valley to a 54-29 victory over Nashoba Tech.

    Boys hockey

    Andrew Gillis netted a hat trick as Canton rolled over Hockomock league opponent North Attleboro 7-1.

    Girls hockey

    In nonleague play, Callie Crean collected four tallies and two assists as Hingham blanked Andover 7-0.
