Though the Patriots may not have got the start they hoped for, the team has been able get things on track as they currently set on a three game win streak.

During this streak, the team knocked off the Carolina Panthers for their first win at home, the Buffalo Bills at Orchard Park, and most recently, the New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome.

After the Bills lost to the Atlanta Falcons, the Patriots slid into first place in the AFC East with a 2-0 divisional record and 4-2 overall record.

During this streak, there have been a number of great statistics by the team. New England’s run defense ranks fourth only allowing 83.5 rushing yards per game. The defense also ranks seventh in scoring defense allowing an average of 20 points per game. Christian Barmore and Milton Williams are a big part of the strong Patriot front. Barmore ranks fourth in QB pressures with 15, Williams ranks sixth in sacks with three.

On the offensive side, the Patriots passing attack ranks sixth averaging 244.5 passing yards per game. At the helm of it all is 2nd year quarterback Drake Maye who is 5th in passing yards with 1,522. Maye also has 12 total TDs to two interceptions, a 73.2 completion percentage, and a 112.5 passer rating. Special teams have been a force for the Patriots.

The team is first in punt return yards with Marcus Jones being the return man.

Though the Patriots have had success recently, there are still true areas for improvement. Despite Josh McDaniels wanting to run the football, the team has not had much success in that avenue. New England ranks 26th in rushing yards per game. In the secondary, the Patriots are giving up 239 passing yards per game. That average puts them 25th leaguewide which is unacceptable even accounting for Christian Gonzalez’s absence the first three games.

On Sunday, Mike Vrabel makes his return to Tennessee as the Patriots take on the 1-5 Patriots. Titans star wide receiver Calvin Ridley and outside linebacker Arden Key are both out in Sunday’s matchup.

For the Patriots, Stefon Diggs, Harold Landry, Jaylinn Hawkins, and Charles Woods are listed as questionable.

The New England Patriots will look to keep their win streak going in the Vrabel bowl.
