The home crowd has something to cheer for again.
Following a momentum-building and perhaps franchise-igniting stretch that featured three consecutive road wins, the Patriots host the Browns at Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Mike Vrabel’s club, which earned a dominant win against the Panthers in its last home game, seems to be a different team than the one which opened with two home losses in its first three games. The most obvious reason for that is the MVP-level play from second-year QB Drake Maye.
That’s not to say Maye’s offense won’t be challenged against Cleveland, of course. Perennial All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett and the Browns are one of the league’s best defensive units through seven games, so that will be priority No. 1 for the Pats.
