Klint Kubiak is set to leave his job as the defensive coordinator for the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and become the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

And according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders are giving Kubiak a five-year contract.

Kubiak, the son of former NFL head coach Gary Kubiak, has built a notable coaching career focused on offensive roles. After playing safety at Colorado State (2005–09), he began coaching at Texas A&M as an offensive quality control coach (2010–11) and graduate assistant (2012). He entered the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings as an offensive quality control coach (2013–14), then served as wide receivers coach at Kansas in 2015.

Kubiak returned to the pros with the Denver Broncos as an offensive assistant (2016–18), working under his father. He rejoined the Vikings as quarterbacks coach (2019–20) before becoming their offensive coordinator in 2021. In 2022, he served as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Broncos. He moved to the San Francisco 49ers as passing game coordinator in 2023, contributing to their NFC Championship run.

In 2024, Kubiak was offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints, managing an offense with multiple quarterbacks due to injuries, including heavy reliance on running back Alvin Kamara. He joined the Seattle Seahawks as offensive coordinator in 2025, leading their unit to a strong performance and a Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots (29–13), marking a championship highlight in his resume.

At 38, Kubiak joins an exclusive group as the 10th father-son head coach duo in NFL history.
