Good morning! Alex Bregman opted out of the final two years of his $120 million deal because, presumably, he thought he could get more money elsewhere. So you have to wonder if he’s getting a little antsy given the recent report that Bregman’s agent, Scott Boras, recently approached the Seattle Mariners to “express Bregman’s willingness to consider Seattle as a destination.”

The Jerry Dipoto-led Mariners are (a) famously a team that doesn’t do much in free agency, and (b) seemingly content with their existing infield options. The fact that Boras is now reaching out to teams like that in order to drum up a market doesn’t bode well for Bregman.

Talk about what you want, remind yourself of that old chestnut about a bird in hand, and be good to one another.
