What to Know

  • Visit NBC Sports Boston’s Bruins page for complete coverage throughout the playoffs.
  • Bruins top prospect James Hagens will be a healthy scratch, and forward Lukas Reichel will make his series but in Game 4.
  • The B’s have lost four straight home playoff games and nine of their last 12.
  • Jeremy Swayman (Bruins) vs. Alex Lyon (Sabres) is the expected goalie matchup.
  • Both teams have struggled on the power play through three games. The B’s are 2-for-12 and the Sabres are 0-for-14.

BOSTON — The Boston Bruins lost Game 1 and responded with an excellent performance in Game 2 in Buffalo to tie the series. Can they do the same thing Sunday and bounce back from a Game 3 loss and tie the series Sunday with a Game 4 victory at TD Garden?

The B’s have scored first in every game, but holding on to leads has been difficult. The third period has been a problem for the Bruins as the Sabres have outscored them 8-3 in those minutes through three games.

Boston has been a resilient team all season. It also has an elite goalie in Jeremy Swayman and more playoff experience than Buffalo.

Can the Bruins end their four-game home playoff losing streak, or will the Sabres take a commanding 3-1 series lead?
