    Jacob Klass, who netted his 1,000th career point earlier this month, earned another milestone Thursday night as he dropped in a school record 49 points as Beverly (9-3) cruised over Saugus, 119-39, in Northeastern Conference play.

    In the Greater Boston League, senior Jacob Underwood-Roche dropped 25 points, adding eight rebounds as Somerville (9-3) held on for a 62-55 win over Malden.

    Matt Lennox paced Carver with 16 points and Amare Santos chipped in 15 as the Crusaders upended Westport, 56-50, in nonleague action.

    Girls basketball

    Bella Bingham netted 18 points as Walpole used an 8-1 run to close out the fourth quarter to edge Norwood, 46-41.

    In nonleague play, Alex Cassidy put in 18 points with seven rebounds as Norwell topped Marshfield 39-28. … Izzy Rotondo finished with 12 points and six boards as Braintree edged Bridgewater-Raynham 48-46. … Kailey VonHandorf scored a career-high 24 points with five steals as Fontbonne rolled over Dracut 55-36.

    Boys hockey

    Cam Guerschuny scored two goals, Gavin O’Toole netted the game winner to lead Canton to a 3-2 Hockomock League victory over King Philip.

    Girls hockey

    In the Patriot League, Mackenzie Ilacqua had four tallies as Quincy/North Quincy doubled up Plymouth, 6-3. Riley Ilacqua and Emily Lim potted the other goals in the winning effort.
