Westford Academy senior Abigail Hennessy ran to fifth place at the Brooks Cross Country Nationals against a star-studded field at Balboa Park in San Diego, Calif. Hennessy finished in 17 minutes, 21.9 seconds. Michigan’s Natasza Dudek won the girls race in 16:55.7. Hennessy was running in the lead pack until about halfway through the race, but then fell slightly off the pace.
