WESTON – For three quarters, the Norwell offense struggled to get going. Then the fourth quarter started, and Jack Luccarelli had his moment. The junior quarterback rushed for three touchdowns in the final quarter and led the Clippers to a 21-7 comeback victory over Hudson to send Norwell to the Div. 6 state championship game. This is the first time in program history the Clippers have reached the title game. “It’s exciting,” Luccarelli said. “To make history, to be the group to do it feels pretty special. It’s going to be special playing there and to hopefully win there.” On…
The Boston Celtics are reeling in the wake of their ugly 113-105 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night. On Saturday, the team was dealt some more bad news, as one of their former players, Rodney Rogers, died at the age of 54. Rogers spent a brief 27-game stint with the C’s in 2002, averaging 10.7 points, four rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 48.3% from the field. After news of his passing surfaced, the team issued a statement on social media. “The Celtics are saddened by the loss of Rodney Rogers and send our condolences to…
The shot was not exactly a high-percentage one, at least not by overtime standards. That did not stop Morgan Geekie. With the Bruins locked in an OT battle with the Los Angeles Kings on Friday, David Pastrnak made a nice play to corral Nikita Zadorov’s long pass up at the LA blue line and sent a cross-ice pass over to the Geekie on the right side. With a Kings’ defender in front of him, Geekie skated it down to the top of the circle and just let it rip, smoking a snap shot past Darcy Kuemper’s far blocker side, lifting…
The New England Patriots will try to extend their win streak to nine games Sunday when they clash with the Cincinnati Bengals on the road in Week 12. The Bengals have struggled all season with a 3-7 record, but their best player — superstar quarterback Joe Burrow — could make his return to the field after suffering a turf toe injury in Week 2 that required surgery. Burrow practiced all week, but he is officially listed as questionable on Cincinnati’s official injury report. He was a full participant in Wednesday and Thursday’s practices, and then was limited Friday. UPDATE (Saturday,…

The Boston Red Sox could be in the market for an elite starting pitcher. Earlier this month, Craig Breslow said the team would only pursue starting pitchers who can pitch in the top half of their rotation. Tarik Skubal’s name is floating around in trade rumors, and he would undoubtedly make the Red Sox’s rotation even better. However, Red Sox insider Sean McAdam urged the Red Sox not to trade for Skubal. “If the Sox — or other teams — were getting two years of control of Skubal, it might be something to consider,” McAdam wrote on Friday for MassLive.…
The Bengals are preparing to face a much different Patriots team than the one they played in Week 1 of last season. The Patriots were able to come away with the victory in Jerod Mayo’s first game as head coach, but they only managed to win three more games all season. The Patriots now are 9-2, riding an eight-game winning streak and are tied with the best record in the AFC as they get set to take on the 3-7 Bengals. The Bengals are just three years removed from a conference championship loss, and it’s been just four years since…
Good morning! Roman Anthony and Garrett Crochet are making fun of Alex Bregman on his instagram page:Does this mean absolutely nothing at all? Or does this mean that the Red Sox are guaranteed to win the 2026 World Series? You decide!Talk about whatever you want and be good to one another. Source link
Enough about Drake Maye for a minute. Mike Vrabel, too. The Patriots are 9-2 thanks to them, yes, but also because they’re healthy, squeezing the most out of their talent and receiving contributions from all over the roster. So, here’s a thought on all 53 active Patriots players who have helped form a true Super Bowl contender. QB Drake Maye The Gillette Stadium crowd was right the other night against the Jets. Maye is the league’s MVP entering Week 12. QB Joshua Dobbs On Dobbs’ only completion this season, he evaded a strong Titans pass rush on third down and…
