It’s been 26 years since Fenway Park last hosted an All-Star Game, one which produced three iconic moments: the home run derby featuring a Lansdowne street mosh pit, the announcement of the all-century team featuring a Ted Williams first pitch, and a Pedro Martinez masterclass featuring strikeouts of some of the most feared hitters in history So when will we get to host again? There are no immediate plans to bring the game back here, but both the Red Sox and Rob Manfred seem eager for the stars to be back in Fenway. (Peter Abraham, Boston Globe) I’ve got a…

The New England Patriots spent the past two seasons at the bottom of the AFC East. A massive climb up the standings is possible in 2025. NFL.com’s Kevin Patra ranked the eight teams that finished last in their respective division during the 2024 season. The Patriots placed second behind the San Francisco 49ers as the squad most likely to transition from “worst to first” and win their division in 2025. Patra noted that last year marked just the third season since 2003 that nobody jumped from last place to first. Can the Pats ride the NFL’s wave of parity to…

In the late 19th century, when the American golf scene was still in its infancy, a Scottish pro named Willie Campbell – who’d immigrated to Massachusetts to be a pro at the Country Club of Brookline – had a novel idea. Make the sport accessible to the masses. He successfully petitioned the city of Boston to build a course at Franklin Park, creating an affordable way for all the world and not just the upper class to fall in love with the sport. If he could see us now. True, we have public courses aplenty, but the greens fees? We…

The New England Patriots will return to the practice field next week. While they are expected to improve after going 4-13 last season, there are still plenty of question marks surrounding the team heading into training camp. Most of those questions are on the offensive side of the ball. For instance, a full season of Drake Maye is exciting, but does he have the weapons to make a real Year 2 leap? If not, the Patriots still have the time and money to make moves to improve their offense, as Tom E. Curran notes on the latest episode of the…

HARRISON, N.J. – Sports Illustrated Stadium continues to be a house of horrors for the New England Revolution, which had its 2-0 lead evaporate in a second half meltdown on Wednesday night against the New York Red Bulls. The Red Bulls (9-8-6, 33 points) emerged victorious, 5-3, riding a pair of braces by Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Emil Forsberg, as the Revolution’s winless run reached seven games. New England is now 1-14-2 across all competitions at the facility, which opened in 2010 and formerly went by the name Red Bull Arena. To add further intrigue, former New York Giants quarterback…

The Boston Red Sox have plenty of avenues to explore prior to the trade deadline, but one in particular is flying under the radar. It’s getting spooky behind the dish… Carlos Narváez has been an absolute revelation at catcher, stepping up and becoming one of the most productive players at his position in the American League — doing it all as a rookie. Connor Wong, on the other hand, has slidden down the ranks as quickly as his partner has risen, becoming one of the least valuable players in all of baseball this season — which isn’t hyperbole. Boston likely…
