The Celtics are finalizing their roster for the upcoming season. Reports say Boston added another player to their training camp roster on Friday.

According to CelticsBlog writer Ian Inangelo, Boston has signed shooting guard Wendell Moore Jr. to an Exhibit 10 contract.

An Exhibit 10 contract allows a team to offer a player a one-year, non-guaranteed minimum salary for participating in training camp, the NBA G League and summer league. If the player impresses during this time, the team can upgrade the contract to a two-way deal.

Moore has spent the last three seasons playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets. Moore played in 36 games for both the Hornets and Pistons last season, averaging 4.2 points, 0.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

The Celtics previously lacked sufficient space for a player like Moore to compete for a two-way contract or a roster spot, given their strong team depth.

However, since Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford and Luke Kornet left this offseason, players like Moore now have opportunities to step up and display their skills.
