The New England Patriots are heading into the offseason with their heads held high. Even though they did not come out on top in Super Bowl LX, there are a lot of reasons for optimism surrounding the team as they begin to prepare for the 2026 campaign.

One of those reasons was the play of rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams. A third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Williams didn’t play a ton, but when he did find his way onto the field, he frequently found a way to flash his big-play abilities (10 REC, 209 YDS, 3 TD).

While Williams can rip off a big play anytime he touches the football, consistency is the key for him moving forward. And with the offseason upon us, it’s clear he has some big goals for himself over the next few months.

“I feel like this offseason is going to separate me. How I approach it, how I prepare for it and how I stay committed to the process,” Williams said, per Karen Guregian of MassLive. “They gave me some bullet points, and what I should be doing. I think this offseason is going to be a big jump, OTAs is going to be a big jump for me.”

Part of the reason for Williams’ quiet rookie season was the fact that New England had a deep wide receiver room. Stefon Diggs, Mack Hollins, Kayshon Boutte and Demario Douglas all found their way onto the field before Williams, meaning he had to make the most of his limited snaps.

Considering how 30% of his catches in the regular season went for scores, it’s safe to say Williams made a positive first impression. Now, he will look to build off of that and earn a bigger role within New England’s offense in 2026.
