Coming off their most successful season in four years, the Boston Red Sox are keeping much of their team intact for 2026.

That starts on the field, where most of the club’s key contributors are still under team control next season, including Roman Anthony, Garrett Crochet, Aroldis Chapman, Brayan Bello, Ceddanne Rafaela, and Marcelo Mayer. Several players, such as Alex Bregman, may depart in free agency or get traded, but the Red Sox’s nucleus will largely stay the same.

The same is true in the dugout, as most of Boston’s coaching staff will be back next year, according to WEEI’s Rob Bradford.

Bradford reported on Sunday that hitting coach Pete Fatse, pitching coach Andrew Bailey, third base coach Kyle Hudson, first base coach Jose Flores, bullpen coach Chris Holt and bench coach Ramon Vazquez will all be returning next season. Manager Alex Cora, who is under contract through 2027, will also be back.

Several key members of the coaching staff have not been confirmed yet, however, including Jason Varitek (game planning and run prevention coach), Ben Rosenthal (assistant hitting coach), Dillon Lawson (assistant hitting coach) and Parker Guinn (catching instructor/bullpen catcher).

The continuity isn’t surprising given the Red Sox’s success this year. It’s also good to have leadership stability for such a young team.

However, some fans were wondering if there would be changes after Boston led MLB in errors this season. Several coaches also made costly mistakes at critical moments, such as third base coach Kyle Hudson not sending Nate Eaton home during Game 2 of the AL Wild Card Series.

Regardless, the Red Sox coaching staff has all offseason to improve and start preparing for 2026.
